Health Care providers and professionals with even a
small amount of medical knowledge can make an enormous positive impact
during a disaster.
During a large-scale disaster, the DuPage County Health Department would
rely upon other health care providers to assist with the sick and
injured. The Health Department is working closely with other health care
professionals to plan a quick and thorough response in the event of a
disaster.
Hospitals, medical professionals, and volunteers would all play a
critical role in emergency response.
The DuPage County Health Department periodically offers trainings to
health care providers to keep them ready to respond during an emergency.
